Last day, Last night, Last Meeting

(of course for Christmas Vacation only!)

It all started when, well, I don't know, your so-called faithful reporter was late and came at 7 in the evening. Anyway, it was held at the Gregorio's place. Almost the whole group was there. Cereb, Marru and Gary were there (duh!), so were Sarah and Stephanie, Aizza and Jolo, Em-Em, Mariel, and Macy, and Lawrence were also there.
They were playing play station when your faithful reporter got there. They were planning to deliver some food, but they don't know what food they want to eat. Some wants Wendy's, but some wants it from Domino's. The decision? They ate from both of them. Cereb (well, actually, her father) and Lawrence were the one who treated them from both. From Wendy's, almost all ordered Bacon Mushroom Melt, only Sarah ordered salad. And from Domino's they ordered a big family pizza and a medium one. They also ordered baked spaghetti and apple crumble.
After eating, Lawrence left, since he doesn't like ghost stories. Steph left, too, since she, too, doesn't like ghost stories, too. Anyway, they told some terrific ghost stories. But I won't tell the title or anything, since I can't say something's terrific, when it's only my opinion.
If you want to read some of the ghost stories, just refer to the article Ghost Stories. But it will be out in the October Issue.

Factors of Friendship

by S.C.E.

When people like each other and like doing things together, that means they are friends. A friend can be your neighbor, your classmate or anyone in this world. When you're playing with a friend, you friend might want to do things in another way. After all, no people are alike, so nobody does things exactly the same way.
Human relationships are the source of most life's pleasure and pain. It's important to know that if you want friendship, you must be a friend first. If we know what we expect for friendship and if our expectations are reasonable, then it's less likely that we'll disappointed. You can be honest with friends. You can depend on friend; you can open up, too. All true. But there are limits to any friendship, people love to help but hate being used. Friendship and support is a 2-way street. No matter how close friendship is, there's always room for tact.
If you and your best friend are gone, you can still call her as your best friend. Friendship lasts forever. Friends forever means although you're not together, she's still your friend and even though you're not seeing each other for years or so forth.
Accept your friends as they are, and they'll accept you as you are. Give you friends freedom. Choose friends who will give freedom to be yourself. Don't let disagreements affect your friendship with other. Be true to them no matter what. Each time they strike you, you shower them with blossoms of your kindness.
As I would say, "It's easy to make friends, but it's harder to build friendship."

Valentine's Day

This article will talk about their Valentine outing, right from the moment they planned it to the second they got home.
It's Valentine's Weekend, and the group has no plans. So, what do they do? Sit down and mourn? Cry and cry until there are no tears left? Act nonchalantly? Nope, those are wrong answers. They made plans! But the "they" does not include Cereb and Marru since they were not allowed to go out (as always! =P )
Anyway, they decided that the date for their plan could not be on February 14. Since it's a Sunday, and most families go out then. So they planned to have a pre-Valentine's outing instead. Meaning, they decided to go out on Saturday, February 13 instead.
The first plan was to go to La Salle fair. Or maybe to the Xavier fair. Those were their only destinations, the first time they talked about it. Then Sarah suggested they go to Shangri-la's and hang out at Henry J. Bean's. (Sorry, if it's wrongly spelled.) So now they had three choices. Now, the next question is, "Who will provide the transportation?"
For the Xavier fair, there's no transportation. For the LSGH fair, Lawrence could be the transportation but the girls, well, couldn't really trust him completely. (They're thinking they would be riding the Prado which will look like a can of sardines.) For the Henry J. Bean's, Sarah and Steph's mom could drive them, but they have to wake up real early.
The girls didn't want to wake up early, so they only have the LSGH fair as their last option for a Valentine outing. The night before February 13, Em-Em (since Mariel and Macy are inside, like, usually) suggested they could go to Glorietta Makati. Their mom could provide the transportation. So after a lot of thinking, they decided to go to Glorietta. They only wanted to LSGH to ride the rides, particularly the octopus (which they learned later that there were none). As for Glorietta, they wanted to watch movies, and shop.
So, the next day, February 13, at 9:30 they met at the Lazaro's place. "They" includes Sarah, Steph, Aizza, Em-Em, Mariel, and Macy. When they were all complete, (the group, plus their mom, a helper, and the driver) they started on their journey.
First, they have to go to Greenhills, since there's something Mrs. Lazaro has to do. But that's okay for the group of friends, since they wanted to check out the a certain store called "Regina's". It has lots of cool stuff for organizers and all sort of stuff. But before they went in, they passed a music store, and decided to check it out, too. However, it turns out that they didn't buy any. They only wanted to look. Then they went into Regina's. They didn't buy anything, too. Just browsing. They don't want to spend all their money in just one place, anyway. Especially when it's just their first stop. Anyway, after that, they went into NBS (National Book Store) and bought the latest SV Jr. High and SV Senior Year book. Well, two of them did that. After going to Greenhills, they went into the condominium of the Lazaro's, where they dropped Mrs. Lazaro and the helper off. Then they were off!
When they got there, first they decided to go eat, since it's lunch time already. They planned to go to McDonald's but there were lots of people, so they decided to try another fast food restaurant. They'd thought of eating Japanese restaurant, and other fast food joints. In the end, they chose Pizza Hut. * sigh *
It was already about 1 o'clock in the afternoon by then, and they have to go at 5 o'clock! Meaning, there's so little time!
Anyway, they wanted go and watch either "Chuckie's (Chucky's?) Bride" or "You Got Mail". They went to one Glorietta building to another, just to watch a movie. But it turns out that there are only four (4) cinemas showing there! And they were showing boring, or not-really-our-type films. Like "Mula sa Puso" and "Bakit Pa?" Well, except for Sarah, because it's okay for her to watch "Mula sa Puso." Anyway, they doubt that those are the only cinemas in this big place, so they asked. But those are the only cinemas, according to the guard. Not giving up hope, they went to the nearby SM mall there. But it's only a department store. There are no movie houses or restaurants. So, they went back to Glorietta.
On the way, Sarah saw a sign that advertises a new group of cinemas. So, they found it. Good for them. I think they deserve it, after all those walking around. The were only showing a bunch of boring movies, in the group's point of view. Their only two choices, that wasn't more or less boring to them, were "You Got Mail" and (no, not "Chuckie's Bride, but) "Water boy." "You Got Mail" won the vote, so they watched it. It was about 2:15 by then, and they entered at about, 2:30. (Just shows you how many people they were.)
It was a cool cinema, perhaps because it was brand new. There were seating arrangements and everything. (When they were paying for the tickets, they could see a group looking at a chat where they could sit.) In the inside, the seats were tilted up, so even if you were seated at the front row, you won't get a sore neck afterwards. The seats were, well, like car seats, I guess.     After the movie, it was already 4:30, so they decided to go and find Rustan's Supermarket, where they will meet the driver. (They already talked about it before.) While waiting, some of them ate Dippin' Dots ice cream.
When they got into the condominium, they went into the 23rd floor and went inside the condominium. They saw that Mrs. Lazaro was still waiting for the refrigerator to be delivered. So, while they waited, they got some paper, fold it into an airplane and throw it into the air. (It may be immature, but it was fun!) Not all of them did that, though. Mariel was being taught by Steph how to send and receive "text" in cellphones.
After that, they went again to Glorietta and shop after a few minutes. No one really bought much. Then they went home.

Easter Sunday

Last April 4, they celebrated the Easter Sunday. All of them were present, since they were the Youth, except for Macy, who overslept along with the other sisters, and decided not to go. So, even though Em-Em and Mariel overslept (a little), they still decided to come.
Anyway, there was the procession at 6:30, and the mass at 7:30. There were eating at 8:30, and some kids already started to look for eggs. The youth committee was able to stop them in time. Later, it all began, and the kids were gone in no time. After 15 minutes, they were back again, and discovered no one really found the golden eggs. After Cerebs clue, they found it. And they lived happily ever after. After the Easter egg hunt, there were some games, in which the prize money is donated on the day itself. So, they dont really know what game. They just played the game of pass the egg, which later turned to be a cup full of water. You can guess the rules.
Sad to say, none of the Youth Com members got the prize, which they were planning to use for pizza later. Well, the adults, gave them the money left, for their hard work and all that stuff. Then they went to Cerebs, and were planning to play "Resident Evil 2". But their dad were eating, so they went to Lawrences instead.
When they got there, they decided to try "Silent Hill" but they liked "Resident" better than "Silent Hill" so they went back to playing "Resident Evil". While playing, they decided to have a meeting about what to do to those "new" members who says they will be members, but fails to show up nor to help in preparing for the celebration.
A while later, they decided to go to the Gregorios because (1) Aaron and his friends came, and were probably going to take-over the play station, (2) its getting crowd-y, and (3) Cereb and Marrus father probably has finished his meal by now.
So, they went. Then they played Resident Evil 2. Carla says the first one is scarier, so they tried out that one, too. It was lunchtime, and they were getting hungry. They decided to have pizza for lunch. Thanks to Mr. Gregorios generosity, they were able to eat and be merry for ten minutes. Then, they had a meeting. The girls did anyway (Sarah, Steph, Cereb, Marru, Aizza, Em-Em, Mariel, and Carla). They talked about the "meeting" of the new members and the old members of the Youth Committee. They decided that if theyre not there, fine, theyre not part of it.
After that, they had an open forum, which turned out to be a success, I guess. I mean, not all gave out all their feelings, or I guess they just dont have anything bad to say about one another, but all in all, everyone cried, anyway. Or at least, maybe they cried about their own personal stories that they told each other. And they all told themselves, that there should be no backstabbing, and if a person hates another, she should spill it before she explodes. Like, instead of gossiping behind her back, she should just say it to her face to face. It was about nighttime that they finished. They ate Shakeys pizza for dinner, with Sarah and Stephs mom. This time, Cereb and Marru cant come. Only Aizza, Em-Em, Mariel and Carla (and of course, Sarah and Steph) came.
Then that was it. Everyone went home afterwards.
